Well team, it’s been a big week over here on PMLF. Almost exactly four months after starting this endeavor, we made Substack’s rising list. I don’t know if this actually means anything significant, but regardless, I’m proud of it.
I was also invited to style the Phoebe boot for Margaux’s In Step alongside women whose perspective I love and admire: Glenn Mae, Angela Galvez, Busacca Bazaar, and Nora. (Btw guys, my name is Sarah. I am lol-ing at the title of “and others.” Gotta keep me humble!!)
I also turned on paid subscriptions. If you’re new here, or a free subscriber, fear not: I’ll be publishing my deep dives for everyone (at least for now), while these Buy before I dos will now be for paid subscribers. Whether or not you become a paid subscriber, thank you for being here and supporting me with your kind words, comments, or even just a like.
This week is a mix of new and vintage, with some sprinkles of what I’m thinking about and searching for (and a new-to-me secondhand market I’ve been buying from).

It’s that time of year where, after the baby goes to bed, I immediately shower and change into sweats. My younger sister, the most discerning critic of my recs, is now hooked on these, and so is her wife. It’s hard to describe, but they fit perfectly (not a great photo, but I was wearing them here) and the time has come to get another pair. I have both smalls and mediums, and there isn’t a huge difference. I recommend starting on the resale market (like here, here, and here).

Hitting every single trend right now… purple! embellishment! shoe clips! perfect almond toe! Someone compliment me on the restraint of not having bought these for myself, because COME ON.

I am all in on vintage leather these days. A strong alternative to jeans, and wearable day and night (plus easy to wipe clean after sticky toddler fingers). Gabi posted this from PFW, and it made me almost press the buy button on these very similar Tom Ford leather pants I’ve had hearted on TRR. They are really, really good and I need you to buy them before I do. (Someone should also take the risk on these.)
